The studio
We are a small practice by design. Fewer projects, deeper attention — interiors developed slowly, in close partnership with the people who'll live in them.
We start with how a room should feel at seven in the morning.
Ferguson Design Studio was founded in 2014 on a simple conviction: that the interiors we inhabit shape how we think, rest and relate to one another. We design for that quiet, daily experience — not for the photograph.
Our work spans private homes, hospitality and the workplace, but the method is constant. We study light, movement and material before we draw a single line, then refine relentlessly until nothing extraneous remains.
We work from our studio in Accra, collaborating with a trusted circle of architects, makers and craftspeople across Ghana.
From brief to
the final detail.
Every project moves through the same four chapters — unhurried, and always with the client in the room.
Listen & observe
We spend time in the existing space and in conversation. How do you move through a day? Where does the light fall? The brief is something we build together, not receive.
Concept & spatial strategy
Plans, sections and physical models test how structure and circulation can change. We agree the big moves before any surface or finish enters the conversation.
Material & detail
Palettes are built from real samples — plaster, stone, timber, metal. We design the joinery, lighting and fixtures down to the millimetre, and prototype where it matters.
Make & deliver
We stay on site through construction, working shoulder-to-shoulder with contractors and craftspeople so the built result matches the drawing — and then exceeds it.
Hands on the work.
A compact, senior team — the people you meet are the people who design your space.
